Twice yearly we have the opportunity to buy timber on auctions arranged by forestry.
There is a strict code of harvesting for these timbers to preserve it for years to come. The timber is then transported to our own sawmill. Here the logs are cut to Kluyts specifications for the highest quality product.
Before furniture is produced, our timber undergoes a strict maturity process. With some of the highest technology in timber drying Kluyts dries it to an average of 7% making it compatible for most conditions.
Traditional methods are used to make the highest quality of furniture to our standard and client specifications. Various finishes are used such as oiling or sealing.
